Meet the team
Peter Jones (Managing Director)
After graduating from University with a marketing degree I got my first job in sales to save up for a round the world trip. After returning to the UK I started working for a golf company organising corporate golf days and then moved further in to the events industry in London, involved in corporate hospitality, product launches, incentive trips and client experiences. After learning the trade, I went on to set up my own hospitality company but after a short time I decided something was missing in the UK and remembered that I was the happiest when I was travelling the world. Since that moment my life completely changed and has become a bit of a rollercoaster ride; in short we moved to Asia, got married, had a boy called Jack born in 2011 and a girl called Mia born in 2013. So it really is a juggling act but I wouldn’t have my life any other way, I love raising my family in Asia, I get to utilise my passion of travel and putting my logistics and organisational skills to good use allowing visitors to see the part of the world I have fallen in love with.
George Kalofonos (Product & Sales Director)
I was born in Alexandria Egypt and raised in Libya, moving to Athens at the age of 18 to continue my further education. My formative years were thus spent living in an international community in North Africa, which helped to develop my interest in culture and language. On leaving Athens University, I travelled extensively the world. This allowed me to broaden my experience of non-western cultures and to enjoy architectural styles beyond the scope of my studies. My interests in a variety of outdoor activities, geography, food and ethnography soon introduced me to the travel industry. Through my 25 years of experience working in London’s major tour operators and specialising on luxury and out of the beaten track travel, I understood how precious is, the escape from everyday busy life and the importance to personalise and maximise our limited on time experiences. In Asia we are saying that a journey of thousand miles begins with a single step and I would love to help you explore my most favourite continent in this world.
Eva Jones (Finance Director)
I was born in the Czech Republic where I spent my childhood. At 18 years of age I moved to England to study at university and a few years later I complete my MBA with the Open University. I worked mainly in marketing but ventured into the manufacturing industry as well as an architectural practice. I loved my carrier, however (just like my husband Peter) I was always happiest when I was travelling and discovering new places and new cultures. When we start thinking about relocating to Asia to set up ‘See Asia Differently’ everything seemed to fit and the decision to ‘just do it’ was easy. We never looked back! We live in an amazing country full of wonderful people and we are doing what we love; making unique holiday’s that our guests can cherish for years to come.
Jenna Kearns (Product & Sales Executive)
Taking a gap year before University began my desire to see and learn about other countries, their people and their diverse cultures. Spending the majority of the six months in South East Asia I always knew it was somewhere I wanted to return. I have since travelled to the Middle East, India and Europe which has only confirmed my desire to spend time abroad but in particular live somewhere for a length of time so I could learn about the place and the people there. Now I have graduated I was as keen as ever to work in the travel industry. So the opportunity of working for ‘See Asia Differently’ has been absolutely perfect and I can’t wait to experience even more that Asia has to offer.
Dan Wilcock (Product & Sales Executive)
I have always had an enormous interest in travel and tourism and having graduated in 2011 with a degree in International Business I have been fortunate enough to work and study in America, Ireland and France. Experiencing new cultures and meeting new people is a great passion of mine so when the opportunity to work and live in Cambodia arose it was far too good of an opportunity to turn down. Helping people make the most of their travels and experiencing new things is very rewarding for me and Cambodia is such a captivating destination there is so much to be discovered. The country offers such a unique travel experience and is so rich in culture and history that I couldn’t recommend it enough. From natural beauty spots, to ancient temples, markets and wildlife, Cambodia really does have something for everyone.
